One of my very favorite sales of the year starts TODAY!!! I look forward to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale every year but this year especially!! Why am I looking forward to the sale so much this year? Because I cleaned out my whole house, closet included, in a massive purge to get it ready to go on the market and I am ready to see some fun, new pieces in my closet soon!!
If you don’t know about Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale then let me explain. Every July Nordstrom has a huge pre-season sale to get you ready for fall/winter! It’s different from any other sale because this stuff is brand new and you can get it drastically cheaper than you will any other time of the year. This is a great time to stock up on basic pieces like solid tees (regular and plus), jeans (regular and plus), cardigans (regular and plus), beauty products you have been wanting to try, etc at fantastic price points. It’s also a great time to buy special pieces like outerwear (regular and plus) and dresses for special occasions (regular and plus). I don’t know about you but I don’t like to pay full price for anything if I don’t have to, I prefer to buy things on sale or with a coupon or discount code. I like nice things but I’m not a millionaire so any time I can save a buck or two I jump on it!!
Now right now the sale is only open to card holders, so if you have a card then get to it!! If you don’t then you can wait until the sale opens to the public or you can sign up for a card today! Nordstrom has both credit cards and debit cards so if credit cards aren’t your thing you can do the debit card!!
One tip I have for you before just jumping in blind is to do a closet purge before shopping. Break out all those fall/winter clothes and try them all on, every single piece. See what you like, don’t like and get rid of anything you aren’t going to wear or anything that needs replacing. Those jeans you love but are worn out, get rid of them. Those shoes you used to love but haven’t worn in three years? Toss them! There is no reason to keep your valuable closet space filled with things you aren’t going to wear.
After you get your clean on see what you need for the coming season! After my massive purge I decided that I needed a good pair of black booties, a neutral bag and a new wallet. Those were my needs. My wants included a new pair of neutral flats and some new studs. I am always down for new stud earrings!!
Oh and the BEST part about shopping at Nordstrom online?? FREE shipping and returns!! And if you, like me, live in a state with no Nordstrom then you get no tax as well!! WINNING!!
